The Guide to Pop Conventions
Meet the Wrestlers and Other News Updates
Another kind of sleepy day in the world of convention news today. Possibly due to a sleeper hold applied by one of the Pro Wrestling Alliance wrestlers, who will be appearing at Comicpalooza. See, now that was a segueway worthy of local TV news! Really, I am quite pleased with myself over that one.
- Speaking of Texas-based shows, 2 day tickets for El Paso Comic Con’s EPCON 2011 are available for purchase. I;m slightly less pleased with that segue, but sometimes, you have to make do.
- And speaking of making due without any segues, Gen Con put up an early version of their event catalog — over 8,000 events so far. Just a warning though, the file is a preview, and not all prettified for public consumption. Still, while it’s true of any convention with two panel tracks, Gen Con really needs to just have “Gen Con — There’s No Way You Can Do it All!” as their slogan.
- Finally, Anime Boston is using The ConventionistĀ for their digital programming needs.
